THE BOOK OF AWESOME

In class we have been reading excerpts from The Book of Awesome, by Neil Pasricha, to help us learn how to write more descriptively. Like Joseph Conrad said in 1897, ” The power of written word is to make you hear, to make you feel…. it is above all else, to make you see.”

Hello at home, we are just starting a new writing organization technique called Power Writing. It basically teaches and forces writers to organize their ideas into paragraphs that have a topic sentence and details. We have only been at it for a few days, but here are some examples.
