Year round schooling???

Posted on Updated on

There was just an article in the Globe and Mail about the idea of having Ontario schools go year round. Check out the link http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/time-to-lead/does-year-round-schooling-make-the-grade/article2057863/ .   I want to know what you think. Would you prefer year round school if it meant the same amount of holidays but they were broken up throughout the year?

I think that the school holidays should be the same because they are in good times and they have good weather reports on our holidays. this is why i think our schooling should be the same!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I would love it! I would be able to be get more A’s and learn more and go to Cambridge University. Besides, what is the point of learning 100% of the grade’s curriculum, only to lose 25% of it over the summer?

I don’t think that there should be year round schooling because I like having summer vacation in one clean chunk instead of broken up into weeks. (One week on, one week off, etc.)

I think the year round schooling will not be fair because we work hard and in our summer breaks we see family from far away and see old friends and are schools are not made for the summers.

In my opinion, we shouldn’t do year round schooling. It’s nice to just have a summer full of no troubles, such as not stressing over some big test taking place next week. Besides, who wants to study and have homework in the summer?

I think year round schooling is fair and not fair because, in the summer you forget most of the things you learned in the school year, and we need breaks from learning too. Say you learn bedmas for the first time in your life and you think it was hard, then summer comes then you forget about it.

I think year round schooling is fair and not fair because year round schooling will help student get better at different subjects but its also bad because on summer vacation kids and parents go to places that they never went before and they have a good time.

I think year round schooling is not fair because we already have 10 months of school, I tink we deserve a break. And summer is usually when people go see their family members that don’t live here, so I think you can see what I’m getting at.

There should 🙂 and There should not 😦

I think there should still be holidays so we can at least get a day off from all the hard work we do. And I think there should be holiday so you can spend time with family and friends. 🙂

I think that there should be year round schooling becuse on summer vacation we forget what we gust learned and we are not prepared for next year. 😦

I think year round schooling would be fun and fair. School is like a third home to me, and I miss school in the summer. Plus learning is soooo fun and some people don’t understand that. Also lots of people would benefit from year round schooling. 🙂
