Rough, Tough Charlie was a very funny story. However, there was a lesson to be learned from this text. So what is the author’s message or moral of the story? Make sure you give evidence from the text and your own ideas to support your answer.

I think the main idea in Rough Tough Charlie is no matter whether you’re a boy or a girl you should get the same oppertuneities. I think this because in the text Charlie did all the things that a boy did “he” did but at the end of the book when “he” died of old age the doctor figured out “he” was a girl. And that is why I think the moral in Rough Tough Charlie is boy or girl they should get the same opportunities.

I think the moral of the story Rough, Tough Charley is never give up. I think this because Charley was a woman and girls can’t vote, drive, or, go into male lodges but she did it anyway even though “he” was a woman. This tells us that she thought that it was no fair that men got to do more things than women.

I think that the main ideas in the book Rough tough Charlie is girls are the same as boys. I think this because Charlie was a girl
But he was doing all this herd work when the girls are not really that smart in there days. And I think that the main idea is that too is because Charlie was really smart and the book said that girls are not smart.

i think the morel of the the story is no matter what you look like you can do any thing as long as you belive in your self. If you are a girl you should be able to vote and do anything you want to do. Because in the text charly was a girl in a boy clothes. So she can do boy stuff that she can’t do.

I think the lesson in Rough Tough Charlie is women can do anything men can do. I think that because Charlie was doing everything that the men can do because back then women didn’t get to do what men can so Charlie dressed up as a guy so that I think the main idea in Rough Tough Charlie is women can so anything men can.

I think the morel of the story it dose not matter who you are you she be able to vote if you boy or a girl. I think this because in the text the girl was dressed as a guy just to see how it would be to live as a boy, and girls didnt do much, all girls did nothing but stay at home and clean and take care of children.

I believe the moral of the story rough, tough Charlie you shouldn’t judge people for how strong they are. I believe this because in the text people thought Charlie was a boy just because she gambled, spit, hit, chewed tobacco and was really tough. This is important because charley was a girl but they thought she was a boy just because she did those things. And also one thing that did sort of give Charley’s identity away was she/he wore fancy cloths? Fancy gloves.

    Rough, Tough Charlie
I think the authors message is. It doesent mater if you’re a boy or a girl, you can do enything.I think this beacuse in the text Charlie was a great medic for horses, he could get to people hwo would need to get places in time and on time. He was the rough tough and could stop robbers from steeling money from coaches. After he passed away the docter noticed something, charlie was a girl. “This prooves that girls can do enything boys can”.

I think the main idea of the story rough tough Charlie is bravery. I think this because Charlie was really tough and brave. He/she was trying to shoot a bad guy when Charlie fell off the horse and got his/her eye kicked out. But Charlie was tough. She/he didn’t cry. Charlie was brave. Charlie was brave because Charlie was actually a girl! Girls don’t normally be tough and fight. rough tough girl. Charlie was a rough tough girl.

I think the moral of the story rough, tough charly is dont judge people by there gender. I believe this becuase in the boock they would not let girls vote for president, or drive so thats why I say dont gudge by gender.

I think the main idea in rough tough charlie is that girls should be able to do anything they want because in the text the girls were not aloud to drive, and other stuff but the boys were aloud. Charlie wanted to be able to do all the stuff that the men did so that is why i think she made herself look like a boy:):).

hidd onder the costme because back in the old days they grils can not vote and the man can vote
bake in the old days . So thats why the liddey was being rouht touth so she can vote.

I think the leason of the story is it does not matter if you are a boy our a girl you can do anything if you try so if you think you can than you should be aloud and no person can tell you that you can’t do it because they are wrong and that is my awnser.

I think the main idea in Rough Tough Charley is, even if you’re a male, or a female you should get the same chances. I think this because at the end of the book the text stated that women weren’t allowed to vote, or drive. I think that is no fair for the women in the olden times.

I think the point of rough tough charlie is that you can be a boy or a girl but you can still be rough and tough. Charlie was a very tough boy/girl he/she didnt cry at all when there eye comes out

I think the moral of the story Rough, Tough Charlie is girls should get a chance. I think this because in the text girls were unable to vote and do many other things that boys could. This tells me that girls should get a chance because they were unable to vote which means they don’t have a say in what’s going on in there country, or do anything back in the day. I also think this because Charlie went through all that just to have her rights back, and back then girls couldn’t drive a stage coach as well which didn’t allow them to move around. This proves my point that girls should get a chance because back then they were limited to what they could do, and yet to this day in 3rd world countries girls are not treated with respect and still are limited to there right’s as ladies.

I think the main idea in Rough, Tough Charley is that everybody deserves a chance. I think this because in the text women weren’t allowed to vote, drive, and basically do anything that men can do. Charley obviously didn’t agree with that so ‘she’ pretended to be a ‘he’ so that she would have the same advantages as the men did. That doesn’t really sound like a rough time, no siree. Charley clearly wanted to prove people wrong by showing that anything men can do, women can do, too. They society didn’t give women a chance to show what they’re really made of. That’s why I think the main idea is that everyone deserves a chance.

I think the main idea in Rough, Tough Charley is that everybody should have equal rights. I think this because Charley pretended to be a boy so she could have rights. Back in “the olden days”, girls and women didn’t have privileges that were equal to men and boys. I believe that is not fair and that everyone should be treated with up most respect and equality. Also, Charley was scared to reveal the fact that “he” was a girl. No one should be ashamed of who they are, and she probably didn’t want to lose the respect that she had gained. This is why I think that the main idea in Rough, Tough Charley is that everybody should have equal rights.

I think moral of the story Rough, Tough Charlie is girls can do every thing boys can do. I think this because in the text every one was shocked when they found out that Charlie was a girl. This tells us that in this time period girls weren’t aloud to do any thing. I didn’t get a chance to finsh this sorry.
