Is air travel good or bad?

Posted on

We just spent a good deal of time looking at the benefits and problems associated with air travel. What I want now is to defend your thinking with evidence, examples, and your own ideas that justify this thinking.

So is air travel a responsible way to get from place to place?

plane

I think aviation is a responsible way to get from place to place because it’s fast and efficient, it’s good for travel, good for jobs, med vacs, safer than cars, and that cars pollute more than planes or helicopters. It’s fast and efficient because it would take about 2 days to get from Vancouver to Halifax driving, not counting breaks. When you count breaks, it would take even longer because of gas, washrooms ect. Also, yeah aviation causes air pollution, well so do cars. In fact, cars pollute more than aviation does because there are so many cars that are being made everyday. Scientists can study planes and make a new engine that will not pollute as much. What if someone need to get to the E.R? (Emergency room) They probably won’t survive a 4 hour drive by ambulance; so they use aviation to shorten that time. Also, if we didn’t have planes, millions of people wouldn’t have jobs and earn money so they can put food on the table. More people die from car crashes than they do on plane. That’s why aviation is better than driving a long distance. These arguments show that aviation is a responsible way to travel because it’s the most efficient way of travel, it saves lives, and it doesn’t pollute as much as cars do.

I believe air travel is a responsible way to travel. I know this because if you cant fly, how will doctors fly somewhere and save peoples lives. Also, 35 million people work in airports so people can get food and pay the bills. Another reason is cars crash way more than airplanes do, another good reason to travel is if someone in your family dies, you might have to use a plane to go to their funeral. Next, a plane really doesn’t depend on gas, it has gas so it can move and get off the ground then it relies on the air, pitch, roll, lift and drag. The evidence above shows that air travel is a responsible way to travel because people depend on flight, also it is very efficient, reliable and safe.

That relates because cars do more pollution than cars do, and smart cars are environmentally friendly.

I believe that air travel is a very responsible fast and efficient way to travel. It saves people when they are trapped or stuck. It also saves a lot of jobs. It is the safest way to travel. My own ideas are that people will lose there jobs because there are so many jobs to do on a plane, helicopter, and hover crafts. So from the evidence that I have produced I believe that air travel is a responsible way to get from place to place. It is the safest and fastest way to travel.

I’m not really sure how jobs have anything to do with flight being a responsible way to travel? You need to clarify this for me.

Avation creates jobs if there was n aviation there would be no jobs.

Really? So air travel supplies all the worlds jobs? Wouldn’t bullet trains supply jobs?

What is it with jobs, what do you mean by “It saves people when they are stuck” what does that mean Hover craft don’t exist.

        Thomas said:

It saves jobs because if planes didnt exist, millions of people wouldnt have a job.

I believe that flying is an irresponsible way. I know this because the planes pollute the air, the airports destroy habitats, and the gas can kill animals and plants when the plane leaves the airport. The gas from the plane can kills crops if a farm is by the airport. These arguments show that flying is irresponsible to animals and plants in the world close to the airport because of the pollution that the planes create while moving.

Air travel is a responsible way to travel place to place. I know this because planes deliver supplies to fly in communities, deliver medical care up north in the arctic, people can get jobs on the airplane, and planes allow fast trips over long distances. Without planes people would have to drive over the long distances and it would cost a lot to fill up the vehicle with gas not to mention sleeping eating and bathroom breaks. These arguments show that air travel is good because more cars crash than planes, also planes are faster, safer, and the best way to transport cargo.

I believe that air travel is irresponsible. I know this because when people build airports they have to destroy habitats and they waste fuel an air planes and on helicopters. Planes cause air pollution and water pollution. When they clean the planes the de-icing fluid goes into the earth and it can get into our water supply. When you destroy habitats animals are going extinct faster then the should. If we use too much fuel the air that we breathe becomes polluted. My evidence shows that air travel is irresponsible because it can hurt the environment, it can harm the water we drink. By hurting the environment animals habitats get destroyed.

      Thomas said:

Humans already destroy habitats because us humans need the food to live. Planes cause pollution but not as much as cars do. Water can be filtered so that the bad stuff comes out.

I believe air travel is a responsible way to get place to place. I know this because air travel is faster than driving from place to place and you have a job to pay your bills or buy someone a gift. Air planes give people a good job, which is being a pilot or a flight attendant. Air travel is safer. There is more car crashes every year, more than plane crashes. Also, there is a good view and you can see what’s above the clouds, and catch up on some sleep. So air travel shows that it is safer, faster and reliable. It’s reliable because if there is a last minute thing you have to do, instead of driving all day, you could be in a plane for only one or two hours.

Also, if you want to go international, its way faster than boat because on a boat, it can take to months maybe even years!

I think air travel is a good thing because most rely on it. I know this because when people drive they mostly, get in to accident in a year. But with the plane it is mush safer then driving. Cars can kill more animals habitat because there are more roads then airports. Cars can produce more harmful gases then air planes. Air travel is fast to get to the place you want to go like Winnipeg to Toronto you will probly get with a plane witch will be 2 hour if you take a plane with a car it will take 22 hour just to get to Toronto. The above show that air travel is safe, responsible, reliable and faster. I think air travel is good because they don’t usely crash then cars.

If we didn’t have airplanes then nobody would be able to fly or there would be not a lot of available jobs and sick people would not be able to get cured. These argument shows that air travel is a responsible way to get from place to place because it is fast and efficient.

The evidence above shows that air travel is responsible way to get to place to place because air travel fast, safe, and reliable.

I believe air travel is an irresponsible way to travel from place to place. Building airports can destroy animal habitats. Noise pollution can cause people to wake up if there sleeping. Global warming exhausts from airplanes are heating up the earth that also destroys other animal habitats. Bullet trains are more responsible because they create less pollution and almost as fast. The above shows that airplanes is an irresponsible way to travel to pace to place. Because airplanes pollute the air and airports can destroy animal habitats.

I believe that air travel is a responsible way to get from one place to another place. I know this because it gives a bunch of people jobs. People that go on airplanes provide money for those who work at the airport. They get money to provide food for their families, water, electricity, basically to survive. Next, it takes less time to get from place to place on an airplane, where if you take a car, it takes longer. For example, if you’re trying to get from Thunder Bay to Florida in a car, it’s probably going to take a couple of days. And if you take an airplane, it only takes a couple of hours. Also, taking airplanes provides access. I mean, haven’t you ever sat on the grass, stare up at the sky, and wonder what it would be like to be up there above the clouds? If you take an airplane, it provides access to your wonders, and you can actually go above the clouds too! And lastly, medical services. Airplanes and helicopters fly up into the sky to find whoever’s lost or injured so they can get them to the hospital, fast! The arguments above shows that going by airplane is responsible and trustworthy because 1) it takes less time, 2) lots of people have jobs because of it, 3) provides access, and 4) medical services.

I think air travel is irresponsible to get from place to place. I know this because air travel can make pollution and can take animals homes away also the cost of the gas for air travel, air travel that can’t fly anymore is making garbage. We could use cars to go from place to place and we could use boats to travel in water. My evidence shows that air travel is irresponsible because it can be dangerous and gas cost to much for air travel.

i believe that plane travel irresponsible
I know this because run ways and helicopter pads are ruining animals habitat, and some people have to move because of the air ports are taking so much space. Also pollution can happen from the chemicals in the deicing hose when it gets into the water because the deicing gets into the earth. When I went on a plane once we had to get deiced and the chemicals didn’t go anywhere. And it probably ended up in some poor animal’s habitat. These arguments show that planes are irresponsible because they can pollute the entire environment. And can even kill some animal’s habitat.
