I’m thinking the main idea of the book is it doesn’t matter if your poor your still rich of what your worth and I know this because I the story the mom and the dad said their daughter and son are worth about 1 million dollars each and then they said we are all worth 1 million dollars so that makes us have 4 million dollars. Now see we are not poor.

I think it’s ok to be poor because they have less money and stuff and it’s ok to not be rich but it’s okay to be rich or not But have fun thinks with that and you’re rich and that lots of people are a little bit

I think the main idea is that it is about money and jobs. And how poor people live. And how there stuff is like there, table,and there clothes. If they had extra money they would just buy it.
I thing i liked was that you had lots of details. The thing you could of did was to back up your details and prove how that shows it in the text.

The main idea of ” the table where rich people sit” is just because you don’t have nice things or money doesn’t mean your pour, I know this because in the text she started to like her old wooden table and at the biggining she wanted to get rid of it so her mind changed really fast when her mom and dad convinced her by all the things you can do in the mountain like sing,listen to the coyotes, the sky and many other things but in a building you can’t do any of those things.
I think your main idea is right on, but you need to explain the idea of being rich is more than just having cash!

I think the main idea of ” The Table Where Rich People Sit” is to always be confident in who you are, and to always realize how special you are, and what you’re worth. I know this because in the text, even though the family may have been poor, they still called themselves rich because of how they are as people. For example,the family believes that each of them is worth at least 4 000 000 dollars, so they believe that the have over 4 000 000 dollars by the value of the people in there family. This shows that even though the family wasn’t as rich as 4 000 000 for real, they were still proud of who they were as people, and knew the were worth millions.

I agree with your thinking. Even though the family didn’t actually have 4 million dollars, they think that as long as that their together, their as rich as having 10 million dollars. One thing that can help you improve writing, is to check over your writing because I saw 2 spelling mistakes. Good job! 🐰

for anyone who read mine, I realized afterwards I made a mistake. I said they were each worth 4 000 000 dollars and I meant 1 000 000 dollars for each of them to make a total of 4 000 000 dollars. Sorry about that 😜
Sylvia, I love your main ideas and I can understand why you think they’re the main ideas, but you need to back up your thinking a little more. I like how you used and example, but is there a little more evidence you can add to back up your two main ideas instead of 1 piece of evidence? You did amazing, don’t stop 🙂
The main idea of the table were rich people sit is it does not matter if you are rich or not. I know this because in the text the parents kept on saying that they are rich. This shows that it does not matter if you are rich or not.

I think the main idea of the table where rich people sit is about how everyone is worth a million dollars. I know this because in the text mountain girl really wanted money, she thought if she could talk her parents into getting money they would have a better life. Her parents told her to write things that would be worth a lot of money, when her mother asked her what she would be worth she said 10,000 $ but her parents said that she and her brother were worth a million. This shows that you could have a lot of money if you look harder.

I think the main idea of the table where rich people seat is if your rich or poor just enjoy the good things in life. I know this because in the text “mountain girl” didn’t know what was around that not that many people have around them. He didn’t notice how much those views cost and there just outside his front door. This kid must be so lucky! This shows that even if your poor or rich you can still enjoy the good things in life. (That kid is so lucky)

I think this story is about the kid who is the ONLY one who can see that they are pore and know my thinking is starting to change because in the text they make a lot of money they make money on how much there worth berceuse you might only hear that sound once you might only see that thing once you might only be able to feel that thing once.that’s what make them money.
I Like the fact that you gave evidence and justified your thinking. However, I had trouble understanding at first because of the way it was phrased. I would say that the spelling and paragraph organization is the only thing I would change. Great evidence and justification though.

I think the main idea of “The Table Where Rich People Sit” is maybe your not rich in fortune, but your rich in love. I know this because in the text, at first Mountain Girl thought that they were poor because they had an old rusty truck, a broken table, only one good plate, and all the kids have torn clothes and tattered hair. That was until she called a family meeting to tell her parents to get better jobs. During the meeting, her father told Mountain Girl to write down what the parents outdoor jobs are worth. She wrote down that all the nature that they see, which came to a total of $60 000, then she wrote down what she was worth and what her family was worth, which came to a total of $4 000 000. They added that to get a total of $ 4 060 000, and if you think about it, they didn’t even count money in that equation. This shows that even though your may not think your rich in four tune and items, everyone of you is rich in love and in family.

I think the main idea of “The Table Where Rich People Sit” is that being around people and things that you love, makes you rich. When the family sat around the table to figure out how much money they had, they didn’t count real money. They counted up the value of what they had around them and what is important to them. They counted the land that was around them, and the value of there family. They ended up with over 4 million dollars. They didn’t actually have that much money. But being around people and things that they loved, was worth over 4 million dollars to them. They didn’t care about how much money they had, as long as they had the people and things that they loved.That is why I think the main idea of ” The Table Where Rich People Sit” is being around people and things that you love, makes you rich.

I’m Thinking the story is about wanting what others have. At first I thought it was about it was wanting what others have, but now I’m thinking greed. I’m changing my thinking now I’m thinking its about not telling the truth. Oh I get it now. The table where rich people is really about no madder how much money you have does not mean you’re poor. This shows that in the text she wanted her parents to get a job, to buy her better clothes.

I think the main idea is that when your with family, your more richer then a million dollars.
One reason I think this is because at the end at the text the boy said that money doesn’t matter.
The next reason is “money cant buy love” which means that if your not with family, money seems like nothing.
The last reason is because in the text the kid was complaining about how poor they were. When the kid was out with his family, the kid forgot about how much money they had and spent time with his family.
Those are all the reasons on why I think the main idea is to spend time with your family.

I think the main idea of “The Table Where Rich People Sit” is about be greatful for what you have. I know this because in the text Mountain girl wasn’t greatful for the money she has and the love she’s given. Money does come nearly as important love is. After she made up the money of how her and her family cost, she realized money doesn’t make her greatful, it’s what you are given that makes you greatful. Money doesn’t buy happiness or emotions, but love and family does. Even though Mountain girl has a table that rich people don’t sit at, she has a table where family love sits, memory’s are made, and love is spread. Also, money doesn’t tie people together, true love does, without love and only money, the world would be a dull, sad, boring place where no one care for anyone, but when love shines through, the world is peaceful happy, and greatful for what they have.
