    Dear Alexander Gordon Smith,
Hi my name is Troy Nelson. I go to St. James Public school in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. I’ve been reading your series Escape From Furnace and I love it!
I have some questions to ask of you. How do you make up your characters? So far my favourite is Donovan. I kind of had a feeling he would die I just didn’t think Alex would put him out of his misery. Also when did you first start writing books, and when was your first book published?
One of my favourite parts is when Alex and Zee are in solitary. I was interested in how they communicated through the pipe in the hole. I also liked when Alex is having dreams while being pumped with nectar in Death Sentence.
Do you have any other series. I really like these books, so maybe when I finish them I could read those if you have any other books. I would probably enjoy your other books.
Thank you for reading my letter. I love your books and I would like to read more of them.

    Sincerely,

    Troy Nelson

    Dear Suzanne Collins,
I have been reading your book Mocking Jay and, I love it! My name is Seija Hill, I live in Thunder Bay Ontario and I go to St. James Public School.
I have a couple of questions to ask you about the book. How long did it take you to write the book? Why is the book different than the movie?
One of my favorite parts of the book is when Katniss figures out that Peeta got brain washed by the other people. That’s my favorite part because Katniss and Peeta are fighting against each other because the people that brain washed him put him in district 13.
Why did you become a writer? Do you like writing?
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and I hope we can talk again soon.

    Sincerely,

    Seija.

    Dear Veronica Roth,
I am currently reading your book Divergent. The I being Kaydence in grade 6 from St James public school in Thunder bay, Ontario, Canada. And I love the book Divergent.
I have a number of questions about the book. For instance, what are the characters based on? How did you come up with the names like Tris, Four, Will, Caleb, and etc.? And why did you pick them? Finally why did you become a writer?.
I would like to request some more books after the book Four. I haven’t read Insurgent,Allegiant, and Four yet, but I am very excited to read them.
My favorite parts of Divergent is when Tris broke the glass when Four injected a stimulator into Tris arm. Another part is when Tris jumped out of a moving train on to a rooftop.
Thank you for the time to read my letter. Feel free to write to me and give me some answers to my questions.

    Sincerely,

    Kaydence

    Dear Natasha Preston,
I was previously reading your book Silence and, I loved it! My name is Cayla and I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I go to St James School.

I have a couple a questions for and about the book. For instance, how long did it take you to write this book? Like a year or two? Another question is why did you write this book? I’m just curious. My other question is why do you like writing books? Does it take things off your mind or something?

One of my favorite parts is the saddest parts because those are the interesting, and they catch my attention. For instance, when Oakley started talking to Cole on the phone for the first time. That was a bit shocking. Another one of my favorite parts was when Oakley’s dad was attacking Cole because Oakley couldn’t date.

I know you already wrote a second book about Oakley but, I was wondering if you can write a book about Cole and his perspective in England.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and hope you will write back.

    Sincerely,

    Cayla

    Dear Suzanne Collins,
I am reading your Novel Catching Fire in school I really like the series. My name is Kearra I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, I go to St. James school. I love your book.
I have lots of questions to ask you about the book. Like, did you help make the movies? Did you make the book before the movies came out or after? Did you write small books as a kid? Did you get inspired to write? If yes by who?
One of my favorite parts is when Peeta was at the small party and he got full and that lady gave him that water thing and she said it would make him puke that made me laugh. Another part is when Katniss wants to run away but Gale says No. That was kind of sad for me but later in the book Gale says Yes, and Katniss says No.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter if you want you can write back to me and give me some answers to my questions.

    Sincerely,

    Kearra

    Dear Suzanne Collins,
I have been reading your book Catching Fire and my name is Teekia and I am in Grade 6. I am from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. My school is St.james public school. And I love the book Catching Fire.
On your book Catching Fire why did you change it up from the movie? How did you write all that did you type it or when did you make the book? How long did it take you to make the book Catching Fire?
My favorite parts are when Katniss got her dress and when she spins around it becomes a Mocking Jay. I thought it was pretty cool. My second part was the fog came and that if they touched it they will get sting and it sounded interesting.
I think that Catching Fire is a good book. I did not read the Mocking Jay .The Hunger Games is pretty good to I think the Mocking Jay will also be a good one like the other two books I have read .
Thank you for taking the time of reading my letter hope you can write back.

    Dear Neal Shusterman,
Hello my name is Layne Miller and I am from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. And I am reading your novel Everlost in class and I love it.
I have some questions for you like, how do you get the time to write? How did you come up with the idea of the Macgill? And finally hoe did you come with the idea of Everlost?
Here are some of my favorite parts of the book. One is when the Macgill was talking about how he grew claws and climbed out of the middle of the earth. Another one is when Allie opened the fortune cookie that said look behind you.
I really like the topic of the book because it’s different from other books and just really cool. And it’s cool how all the fortunes in fortune cookies are real and funny how people get put in pickle barrels.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Feel free to write back and give me some answers to my questions. 

I am currently reading your book Ash’s, Ash’s, the I being Jayden in Mr. Purdon’s grade 6 class. I am a student in ST. James public school in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. And I want you to know I love your book!

I have a few questions to ask you about Ash’s, Ash’s. One is how did you come up with the ideas like a reverse tide, cooking a turtle, a camp/village in an earth quake crack, sweepers, the Plague, and black boiling clouds? Another set of questions is how did you come up with the names like, Lucy, Del girl, Grammalie Rose, Aiden, Henry, Etc? Now to the final part of the letter, and that being a few request’s. The first request is can you make another book about Ash’s, Ash’s or possibly a series of this book because this book is really good. Dear Jean Craighead George,
I have been reading your book, Julie of the Wolves and it has been a great book so far! My name is Crystal, and I am a student at St. James public school in Thunder Bay Ontario.
Some questions I have are, how many books have you written? Is Julie of the Wolves a true story? How old were you when you wrote this book? How old were you when you wrote your fist book?
A few things that I like about the book is that, I love how the wolves started to communicate with Miyax, and how she is living with the wolves in the wilderness to survive. Another thing I like about the book is that it is a book that I really like and that is just right for me.
I can’t wait to read some of your other books like, Julie and Julie’s Wolf Pack after I am done reading the first book. I also can’t wait for me to get some other books of yours for me to read. I am very excited!
Thank you for reading my letter. I hope to hear back from you soon.
    Sincerely,

    Crystal

    Dear Rachel Renee Russell,
I have been reading your books and they are great. My name is Jacqueline and I’m from St. James public school in Thunder Bay Ontario.
I have lots of questions like why is Mackenzie so mean to Nikki in the book? and where did you get your inspiration from? and my other question is do you write other books besides Dork Diaries?
My favorite part is when Nikki got mad at her little sister Brianna and told her that the tooth fairy collects teeth from little kids then glues them together to make denchers for old people.
Do you have plans of making more Dork Diaries and maybe you should write the next book about Nikki some more too.
Maybe one day I would like to be author too.Thank you for reading my letter and please write back soon.
