Questions

If you have questions that aren’t related to a post, comments that maybe don’t fit in any other topic, a question for me  about school, then this would be the place for that! 🙂

I know the blog is for school projects like writing and book responses only so if I were to leave a like a reply to a comment that you wrote would that be allowed?

Hello Tom. My new class is very nice, thanks for asking. I hope all is well with you and my former students now at Vance!

Hi Mr. Purdon, I haven’t talked to you in a while. I was wondering how your class is this year? As I see from Tom’s post, and your response it is good 😀 I am having a good time in gr.7. I find it’s pretty easy, but then again, it’s just the start of the year. I thought it would be nice to let you know that even though I go to Westmount I still think about all my former class mates at Vance. I seen a few of this years gr.8 last school year during the Boarder Cats game where some public schools schools got to go. I just have to say, I miss being in your class.

    Bye…

Hi Mr.Purdon!!! I’m so exited for King Fisher….I know this is a silly question but what do we do there? My first guess is fish, but I don’t think so.

    Hello Everyone,

It was nice to read about your favourite memories from the year. One of my more memorable memories was seeing the National Ballet of Canada along with the Thunder Bay Symphony, especially the Bollywood style of dancing. It was really enjoyable watching the students learn and participate in ballet when the instructor visited us at St. James. I was really proud of all of you when she said that you were the best class out of all of schools she has visited!

If you look closely at my profile picture you will notice that it is a geocoin. This coin has a unique code CA5R9K that you can track at http://www.geocaching.com once it starts its journey. I will put the coin inside a geocache, someone will find it and log the coin on the website. There they will see where the coin wants to travel. Next, they will move the coin to a new location that is hopefully closer to its travel goal. With a little luck the coin will eventually make it to its final destination. I was hoping that you could help me decide where in the world the coin should travel. We need to pick a destination. Below are some ideas:

    a) Mount Everest on the international border between China and Nepal
    b) The International Space Station (a satellite that orbits earth)
    c) Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany (the inspiration for the castle from Beauty in the Beast)
    d) Your idea!

Please let me know what you think. Once I send the coin on its journey I will post a new message so you can follow its journey.

    Have a great summer!

I think C. It would be a real adventure to go to a real castle. That’s somewhere fun to go to, Germany sounds cool. I hope you have a great summer to! c:

The International Space Station because then the coin would be considered “out of this world”. 😛

When we go to Kingfisher in January, are we going to be learning about the different kinds of plants, animals, and maybe different kinds of insects? If we do, I’m going to be even more excited for Kingfisher!! I LOVE learning about animals, insects, and plants!! I love science and Kingfisher because of learning and trying new things! I love a lot of things at Kingfisher.

Hello Mr. Purdon, it is Thomas Lee stopping by. I just wanted to say hello & view the work we did when I was in your class, 4 years ago. It is very hard to believe that grade 6 was in 2012/2013. Grade 6 will always be one of the best school years of my life due to the fun activities we did such as the Christmas Up On The Housetop video, and Kingfisher. Although Kingfisher isn’t necessarily an activity it was still very fun. So, I am in grade 10 right now at Superior CVI & school has been going great so far. I recently found out that I made it into honour roll from last year’s academic performance which is good. I hope you are doing well & had a good summer. Goodbye for now.
